Independent Group Home Living Program, Inc., (IGHL) was awarded a $20,000 grant from The Marilyn Lichtman Foundation to provide a standby generator for one of IGHL’s residential homes, the Flanders Intermediate Care Facility (ICF).

IGHL’s Flanders ICF is a community-based residential facility that is home to 12 medically frail people who are living with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Due to the extensive medical needs of the residents, power to the home is vital as many individuals receive medical treatments which are powered by electrical equipment.

Thanks to the support of The Marilyn Lichtman Foundation, the installation of a standby generator will guarantee a reliable source of electricity in the event of any power outage to the home, ensuring maximum mobility and safety for all residents.

IGHL’s mission is to provide lifetime support and innovative services for people living with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
