Job Summary

The Recruiter is responsible to interview, recruit and hire external candidates for positions within the Agency. The Recruiter is also responsible for working with other Recruitment Team members to make sure the recruitment process is efficient and helpful for all internal and external candidates.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

E-         Connotes Essential Functions

E-1       Participates in all areas of recruitment, including but not limited to:

  1. Interviews and schedules follow-up interview with manager.
  2. Maintains contact with interested applicants and ensures follow up until the offer and acceptance or rejection processes are completed, including checking references.
  3. Meet with applicants to complete required onboarding paperwork.

E-2       Assists the HR Manager with special projects as assigned.

  1. Coordinates with the Recruitment Team to complete a cohesive Monthly Report.
  2. Assist in any other special projects, defined as tasks that need to be completed by an individual that can devote a lot of time, dedication and comprehensive accuracy, i.e. revision and audit of position descriptions.

E-3       Process internal transfers – set up interviews, offer salary, send out new job descriptions, track, etc.

E-4       Process per diem applications – confirm eligibility, schedule interview, communicate effective date, confirm requirements, send new job descriptions, track, etc.

E-5       Participates in bi- weekly recruitment, HR staff, and 1:1 with HR Manager meetings and makes recommendations to the team on ways to improve recruitment efforts.  Attends monthly Kinexion affiliate recruitment meetings.  Takes notes and completes minutes on a rotating basis.

E-6       Responsible for the weekly job posting, tracking open positions and updating website.

7-         Update Residential List quarterly and distribute.

8 -         Assist with updating Organizational Chart for IGHL and Angela’s House.

9-         Acts in a support role to HR management as needed.

10-       Maintains a high level of confidentiality.

11-       Provides Front Desk coverage as needed.

12-       Attends job fairs and events, may include evenings and weekends.

13-       Follow up with new hires at Orientation for anything still pending (PPDs, Etc), prepare ID cards for new hires and employees who have lost their ID cards.

14-       Audit work quarterly to ensure accuracy and meet with supervisors to review audit.

15-       Monitor Alien/Work Authorization status of internal employees.

16-       Completes letters for employees who need to verify employment and salary.

17-       All other duties as assigned.

 

Position Requirements and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Two years of Human Resource experience
  • Valid NYS driver’s license
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, Facebook/Instagram, Internet Explorer preferred)
  • Ability to multitask, handle a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of confidentiality
