| Description | The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is a role model for the developmentally disabled consumer. The DSPs actions and interactions are based on mutual respect, communication, teamwork, teaching Activities of Daily Living (ADL). The DSP will provide hands on physical assistance for all ADL that the consumer does not complete independently. The Crisis Intervention Specialist (CIS) is a role model who provides support to staff during behavioral interventions and monitors staff/consumer interactions for optimum choice making, social development and goal setting opportunities. |
